Keloid or hypertrophic scars are sometimes treated with injections of a special steroid that stops the production of collagen, causing the scar to flatten and fade. If necessary, other surgical procedures may be done later to refine the results.
You are encouraged to call the office if you have any questions or problems at any time. Normal office hours are 9 AM to 5 PM weekdays. After hours, an answering service is available to take your calls. In the case of an emergency, Dr. Choucair will be notified immediately.
